My Little Birdy is not really my bird. She belongs to one of my dearest friends, Heather. But her girls call me Aunt Danie and my boys call her Ms. Aunt Heddar and that makes her partly my Birdy.

Birdy is Taylor’s nickname, but Bird-zilla is what she is most often called. She shares a middle name with her Aunt Nicole. She loves orange juice, her big sister and her big dog brother, Harley. She climbs on whatever needs climbing and appears to be a natural little athlete. Yet, she adores her princess tutu (made by yours truly. so honored!) and her pretty necklaces. I still can’t believe she stayed still long enough for me to get this many pictures.

I really love this girl.

Of shoes upon her skipping feet.
How seldom sole and sidewalk meet.

Unable to get off the ground?

And if she cannot soar the skies,
She has the urge and tries and tries.
